MERMAIDS AND PEARLS
Ten years in the creation of this 5 panel wide artwork, never having anywhere to hang and execute as one piece.... even photographing could not be done as one, so colours may vary... still with a little more spruiking, ready to put on the market.. what a painful journey, yet I am aware of many great artists in the past who also struggled to create.... I am not alone....

9/11 1200x1000 $4,500
I painted this painting in the days after 9/11 as my way to cope with the horror. It sold in September 2001. Surprisingly just a few weeks back, I was contacted by the buyers wishing to return the painting as it no longer worked with their decor. A week later The Synchronicity Key was in my hands and I read how David Wilcock discloses a correlation between Roman History and American history and his thoughts on 9/11 and Ancient Rome.
I was excited by the synchronicity in my own life - having expressed this very concept in my 9/11 painting. Within a very short time I intuitively felt this event was instigated from within the country and I felt driven to paint. In some way I felt this was the beginning of the end of the Great American Empire... In the foreground Ancient Rome has fallen and there lies the parallel that once more a culture is about to be shocked out of complacency and ignorance. In the top right hand corner two planes are flying toward New York city on the horizon, the horror of 9/11 is about to occur, shattering the dangerous self satisfied idealism we in the west indulge in. The Moon representing the collective psyche of human emotions creates a luminous energy field that sweeps the earth. In the foreground a statue of Eros the God of Love lies half buried and discarded from ancient times. In his book David speaks of love being the one force to unite humanity. The Peace Lilies speak for themselves and the abundance of the Garden of Eden represents the higher forces which will prevail, no matter what negativity humans indulge in.
For some reason this painting came back into my hands..................
